What this site is. An information and referral service. It connects property owners in Jefferson County, West Virginia with independent contractors who do mold removal and water damage work. It performs no work, holds no contractor license and sells no products.
Not an inspection. The pages describe how moisture and mold usually behave and what federal guidance says about cleanup. That is general information. It is not an assessment of your building, and no page can see what is behind your walls.
Not medical advice. Nothing here is a statement about anyone's health. Questions about health go to a doctor.
The contractor's own terms govern the work. The contractor you reach is an independent business. Its estimate, scope, payment terms, cancellation policy and any warranty are the terms of the job. This site is not a party to that agreement and cannot change it. Read what you sign and keep a copy.
No prices. No prices are published here for any job. Each contractor sets its own after seeing the property.
Availability. Coverage depends on which contractors are participating in a given ZIP code at a given time. Nothing on this site promises that a visit can be arranged within any particular period.
License and insurance. It is the homeowner's responsibility to verify that a hired contractor furnishes the license and insurance required for the work being performed. In West Virginia that means the state contractor license, which the West Virginia Contractor Licensing Board lets anyone look up.
No warranty of work. This site does not warrant or guarantee any work performed by a contractor reached through it, and makes no promise about the outcome of any visit.
Accuracy. Pages are checked when written and show the date they were last reviewed. Rules and guidance change, and a page can fall behind them.
Limitation. This site is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law it is not liable for loss arising from reliance on information published here or from work performed by an independent contractor.
